Traffic safety in Oslo

This year the Agency for Road and Transport are directing focus on pedestrian accidents in the city centre. In the road safety campaign, we want to facilitate focus on the importance of using all the senses actively when one is walking in the streets of Oslo. This is especially important when talking on a mobile phone, listening to music or rushing around in one’s daily activities.

“Talk about bad luck”

The Agency for Road and Transport does not wish to decide whether or not you should talk on your mobile phone when you are walking in Oslo’s streets. But we want you to remember that no matter how important the conversation might be, all other senses are weakened. So to avoid an accident, you should look up in traffic.

“Music makes blind”

We do not wish to decide whether you listen to music or not when you walk in Oslo’s streets. But we want you to know that even if you shut the rest of the world out with music, you must remember that the rest of the world still exists. So to avoid an accident, you should look up in traffic.

Don’t rush about in the roads

We do not wish to decide on your schedule when you rush around in Oslo’s streets. But we want you to know that even if you can run to the next number of points on the schedule, you must be aware of what you are actually running against. So to avoid an accident, you should look up in traffic.
